Our workshops are for practitioners who work within any of these boroughs; Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

A virtual half-day workshop session for practitioners from RBKC, WCC & LBHF agencies who may refer to MARAC.


Practitioners from; Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster ONLY !

Aims:

To increase awareness of frontline staff and managers on:

• The dynamics of domestic abuse;

• Domestic abuse risk assessment, including the SafeLives DASH Risk Indicator Checklist (RIC);

• The MARAC process.

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the session, participants will feel more skilled and confident in understanding:


1. The dynamics of domestic abuse;

2. What constitutes a high-risk domestic abuse case;

3. The scope and purpose of the MARAC, including how the MARAC fits alongside the on-going risk reduction work of frontline agencies;

4. How to refer to the MARAC.
